This evening I sat with my family on the cool lawn of Canyon Ridge High School's baseball field. It was the end of a beautiful day as we waited for the annual firework celebration. We were happy. I looked around at all the other happy famlies as they also waited. I am grateful for that happiness we all enjoy. Grateful we can gather to view a lightshow without fear or worry. I am grateful for this amazing country we call home. May God protect it always and may we always be grateful to God for it.
Blest with victory and peace, may the Heav’n rescued land praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation. Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just, And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.” And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave o’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
