"The bride and groom will have family flying in from half-way across the world. Some they may never see again. But, no pressure!," I messaged my second shooter, while personally tearing up a bit as the enormity of what I was about to do suddenly hit me full-on.
But the importance of a wedding doesn't scare me. It fuels my passion to work harder. I focused on family reunions: cousins' crazy antics, aunts reuniting, long hugs, tears and laughter. I was immersed in Portuguese traditions, culture, dancing and food - such delicious food! - all while trying my best to capture on camera how it all felt to be there.
This was truly a wedding to be remembered! Cristina and Ricardo, two of the kindest, most genuine people I have ever met, are so in love! And, that day, were surrounded by so much of the same! I am forever grateful to have been a part of the beginning of their lives together and look forward to seeing all the future has in store for them. <3
